Greenstone Design UK were established to accomplish extraordinary things. As active researchers, advocates and practitioners we are leaders in landscape and urban design for health and well-being. Author of the international design text Landscape and Urban Design for Health and Well-Being: Using Healing, Sensory and Therapeutic Gardens, Routledge Press, 2014, our Founder /Director Gayle Souter-Brown built a global design consultancy to address human health and well-being using sustainable design principles. Not only do we practice what we preach; as evidence based designers we explore new solutions to old problems, and find cost-effective ways around environmental and economic challenges. We collaborate with tertiary institutions and NGOs, architects and other professionals to provide innovative, cost-effective, health and well-being outcomes through environmental design.

Our small team of consultants, designers and associates contains what we believe to be a unique blend of passionate people - scientists, architects, interior designers, landscape designers, teachers, and horticulturalists. As a sustainable design practice we work remotely, from home offices. With people based in England, USA and New Zealand we work locally, but with a global reach. Accessible, inclusive design for health and well-being takes us from large-scale tropical eco resorts to small-scale urban roof gardens. All projects incorporate our sensory-rich salutogenic approach to design for health and well-being.
As sustainable designers we work at an honest price. We guide with confidence and clarity, to ensure your budget is spent wisely, to best effect. This means that if it is not cost-effective for us to come to you, you can still utilise our design flair. You simply provide photos and site measurements and we do the rest.
